Alumni Library Guide

Only alumni who are have obtained an Alumni Card may use library materials. Cards are $4 and may be purchased at the Cashiers Office. Alumni Association members should go to the Circulation Desk on Library 5th floor North to obtain a barcode for their alumni card.  Alumni are not eligble to use Interlibrary Loan, Study Rooms, or Access Databases from off campus. 

UHD alumni can

• borrow up to 4 books at a time (see Loan Periods)
• use print and media collections on-site
• use library computers (2 hours per day)
• use library databases and electronic publications on-site (2 hours per day)
• use the Ask a Librarian service to consult with a librarian about any research question

UH and UHCL Alumni have borrowing privileges at the UH Downtown library but you must have a library card from your University Library.

To obtain a library account with the Anderson Library (Central Campus), call their circulation desk at 713-743-9710 for details. 

To obtain a library account with the UH-Clear Lake Neumann Library, call their circulation desk at 281-283-3900

Once you have a library account set up, you may visit the UHD library to checkout materials or you may request the materials be sent to Anderson or the Neumann library for pick up.
