Interlibrary Loan

Track Requests

Once logged into My Interlibrary Loan, you can track requests through the View menu in the left column.

  • Electronically Received Articles - Articles posted to this page remain accessible by the requester for 30 days from the date of posting.
  • Checked Out Items - Lists all interlibrary loan materials currently checked out to you.
  • All Requests - Lists all interlibrary loan requests ever submitted by the user, regardless of current status (active, finished, and cancelled). Click on a transaction number for more details.
  • Notifications - Lists all emails sent to the user. Click on the subject link for the content of the email.

Explanation of ILLiad Statuses

Common ILLiad statuses are listed below. Please note that these statuses reflect the actions of both the requesting patron and those of the ILL staff. If your item is at a different status or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the ILL department or 713-221-2760.

Status Explanation
Awaiting Request Processing Your request has been received and is waiting in queue to be processed by ILL staff.
Awaiting Unfilled Processing We have sent your request to potential lenders but no library has been able to fill the request yet. We will continue to try to obtain the material from other sources. If we are unable to locate the item, we will cancel your request and notify you by email.
Awaiting Copyright Clearance We are checking to see if a copyright fee is required to obtain the requested article.
Cancelled by ILL Staff ILL staff has cancelled the request for a specific reason. We always try to send an email with an explanation of why a request was cancelled, but you are welcome to call the ILL department for clarification.
Delivered to Web The item has arrived electronically and has been posted to the user's My Interlibrary Loan account. It is available online for up to 30 days to be viewed and/or downloaded electronically. Login to your My Interlibrary Loan account and click on View Electronically Received Articles.
Awaiting Conditional Processing A possible lender has sent us a message about the unique details of the request. We may email you with questions about the requested materials or to make sure you can still use the item if there are restrictions placed on it.
Loans Recalled Processing Sometimes the due date of an item will be moved up due to special circumstances. If the due date of your item is changed, we will notify you by email
Checked Out to Customer The item has arrived and has been checked out to the user.
